Aarif specialises in public international law, international criminal law, arbitration and conflict resolution. His work involves acting on rule of law, human rights and justice issues particularly in the context of authoritarian rule or mass atrocity crimes. He also advises on foreign policy.


Biography

Aarif has held leadership positions - as a director, lawyer, or investigator - in private practice, international courts, tribunals, NGOs and international organisations. He advises and writes regularly about governance, international crimes, foreign policy, and peace-building.
